The question

Which stream feeds the spring that supplies local water in drought years, and which fauna depend on it?

Method

  • Divers place tracers and loggers in sumps and sample the water and fauna to scientific protocols.

Results so far

  • A dye trace confirmed that the Baronie stream feeds the Fruncu ’e Oche spring
  • 73% dye-trace recovery at Fruncu ’e Oche

Outputs

  • Video series with CEAS Torpè / UNESCO MaB
  • Hydrology dataset (in preparation)
